Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, an actor and musician, is famous for playing hard-edged characters or funny characters in action films. In total, he's appeared in films that have earned in excess of $2.5 billion USD. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German-born actor was born in Idar–Obersteinin West Germany on March 19 1955 to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey) who resided at a military base in the United States. His family emigrated to the U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was born in Penns Grove by his mother, who worked at an establishment that was a bank, while his father, a welding, was a factory worker and welder. Willis began to develop an interest for drama in high school and was allegedly "discovered" whilst working in an establishment in New York City and then appeared in a couple of off-Broadway productions. In one night, Willis was bartending and was noticed by a casting director who liked his style of work. He was looking for bartenders for an unimportant role in a movie. Willis tried out for a variety of roles in films, however, he was not given credit. He eventually got the part of David Addison, a private eye, alongside Cybill Shepherd, in the romantic comedy series Moonlighting (1985). The sarcastic and wise-cracking P.I. is viewed by some as an exercise in preparation for the role of the hard-boiled NYC detective "John McClane" in the monster-movie Die Hard (1988), in which Willis the character alone fought an gang of vicious international thieves within the Los Angeles skyscraper. The sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), Willis reprised his role in the role of McClane. The plot set in Washington's Dulles International Airport where a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers are trying to reclaim an unjust South American general. The film's excellent box office results prompted a sequel to Die Hard with bloodshed (1995). This time Samuel L. Jackson starred as a shrewd Harlem shop owner who is accidentally forced to assist McClane during a terror attack on a hot New York City day.
